Dupioni Discovered

MMmmm...My newest obsession...Dupioni Silk...
The possibilities are endless. Headbands, clips, bib-style necklaces.  I dont know if it is the bright, bold colors or the way the fabric just "works" anyways you use it, but it is just screaming for me to make some yummy accessories.  I started working on the headbands, which quickly lead to a bib necklace for myself.  I will definately show pictures of that when it is complete.  I am already in love with it, and can tell it is going to be a favorite accessory of mine.
Ok, so these photos were taken with my phone, so again with the crappy camera.  I swear some day I am gonna get my computer back and this whole thing is gonna be so much easier... :)

Its So Hard Being Without A Computer

It all began when I was trying to update this very blog, and all of the sudden my computer decided that it was going to kick me off the internet.  Then it did it again, and again, and again, until I was completely irritated, and called the Tech Support.  After a 2 hour conversation with someone I could not understand, several diagnostic checks, we decided it was BROKEN!!  I was so bummed out, because that meant I was not going to get to update this thing for a while.  So here I sit, on a borrowed computer, attempting to get a post up, finally.

I have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of my newest niece, Amelia.  Its funny, because she isnt even due until June, but I cant wait!! A niece, right here, only 40 mins from me...I am Ecstactic!!!  Tomorrow is her first official baby shower, thrown by my sister's monther-in-law.  We are making the journey up to Thousand Oaks, Ca.  Today I begun crafting for this little munchkin.  and here is what I came up with...
Please excuse the HORRIBLE photo quality.  While I love my cell phone, I do not love the camera on it.  :)
Officially I welcome Baby AMELIA

Busy Little Bee

Time for another post.  Things have been so hectic and busy.  My bestest friend in the whole wide world came in to town from Texas with her Hubby for our friends wedding.  We had the best weekend, Bachelorette festivities on Thursday, Rehearsal/Dinner on Friday, and the Glorious Big Day on Saturday.  Aside from alittle rain that tried to ruin the day, it was a BEAUTIFUL wedding, and tons of fun.

I, also, by some chance ended up picking up some sort of bug, which left me pretty sick last week.  However, I am feeling better and back to my crafting self.  My first project, was a purple and teal headband which I wore to the girls dinner with friends.
The second was a yellow creation which I have been wanting to make for quite some time now.  I fell in love with this simple soft yellow and white polka dot fabric by Alexander Henry, and decided it would look perfect made into one of my headbands.  I was wearing this one for a night of cosmic bowling with Chelsea's Middle School D-Group. (which explains the neon colors and my awesome glow-in-the-dark necklace)

I then moved on to some more childish ones.  So after bowling, while watching a movie on Netflix, I begun some more projects.
